FHP Ep. 61: Secrets-Cosmetic Acupuncture w/ Corinne Lohss, L.Ac., MSOM

Dr. Barter chats with friend and acupuncturist, Corinne Lohss all about cosmetic acupuncture. They discuss the methodology behind why facial acupuncture is safer than surgical and chemical anti-aging procedures such as face-lifts and Botox. Learn what to expect from cosmetic acupuncture treatments, how long the results can last and who makes an ideal candidate for this safer and all-natural protocol.

Corinne has a private acupuncture practice in Northwest Denver. She came to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after a long search for a fulfilling career in the healthcare world. She always knew that she wanted to be a healer, but one who looks at the entire individual as a whole, and not just a collection of symptoms that need to be treated. Frustrated with aspects of the allopathic medical world when dealing with some injuries and personal issues, Corinne found TCM and realized it was the perfect fit. Corinne trained at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO, earning her graduate degree, a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCOAM) as a certified acupuncturist and is licensed by the state of Colorado. She incorporates all the modalities of TCM, including needling, cupping, guasha, Shiatsu, Tui Na, moxa, nutritional counseling, electric stimulation, and Chinese herbal therapies. She also studied as a Thai Yoga Massage therapist, yoga instructor, and uses a lot of bodywork techniques in her treatments for a very hands on approach. During school Corinne did a year long externship at Colorado University Boulder and treated many of the student athletes. Corinne has many areas of interest in her practice, including women’s health, sports related injuries, chronic pain, digestive issues, as well as anxiety and stress related issues. After graduating from Southwest Acupuncture College Corinne did a course on Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture. She selected this specialty training because she wants people to feel and look the best that they can, safely and naturally.
